At Grove Institute, we are committed to sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and advancing the field of behavioral health—especially in wilderness and backcountry contexts. At the same time, we work hard to create, write, and develop original materials, frameworks, and programs that represent years of lived experience, professional expertise, and research.

OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS

All original content created by Grove Institute—including but not limited to:

  • Written materials, frameworks, and guides (such as Backcountry Behavioral Health and The ROOT Framework)

  • Website content, articles, blogs, and downloadable resources

  • Presentation decks, trainings, workshops, and handouts

  • Course or consulting materials, designs, graphics, and visual elements

  • Research findings, data visualizations, or infographics

  • Audio, video, and recorded teaching materials

…is the intellectual property of Grove Institute, PLLC (and its founder, Kallie Kurtz, LICSW/LCSW), protected under U.S. and international copyright law. Additionally intellectual property may be specific to other staff and clinicians at Grove.

USE AND ATTRIBUTION

We welcome learning, conversation, and collaboration—but ask that you respect the work and cite appropriately.

  • You may share, cite, or link Grove’s publicly available materials for educational or non-commercial purposes with clear attribution to Grove Institute.

  • When referencing concepts, frameworks, or materials such as Backcountry Behavioral Health or The ROOT Framework, please cite:

The Grove Institute name, logo, and design elements are the property of Grove Institute, PLLC and may not be used without prior written permission.

REPORTING MISUSE

If you see Grove’s materials being used without citation or permission, please notify us at info@groveinstitute.org so we can address it respectfully and directly.
