You also have the legal right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost if you are uninsured or not using insurance.

Here’s what to know:

You can request a written estimate for any non-emergency/crisis service.

Your estimate will include all related costs (e.g., tests, prescriptions, or equipment).

Providers must give you a written estimate at least 1 business day before your service — ours are already available online for your convenience. (link)

If your bill is $400 or more above your estimate, you can dispute it.

Always save a copy or photo of your estimate for your records.
