Meet Fartun -
Fartun loves adventuring and working with community to create positive and healthy change. Fartun is finishing up her BA in psychology and special education, while also working as a special education teacher at an alternative high trauma high school. Fartun was born in Kenya is Somalian and resettled to the United States at the age of 6. She got her first taste of the outdoors through a youth violence prevention program in her neighborhood and has grown to love it in many of her roles. She has worked in youth violence prevention in Multnomah County and with high trauma youth. She is la rad mom, loving learning white water kayaking, and plays a lot of soccer. She loves helping people understand the social context and behavioral health so that everyone can be empowered to feel their best.
